Cheyenne Parks & Rec Welcomes New Staff

Cheyenne Parks & Rec is proud to announce the addition of two new staff members.  Click the link to learn more about them.

Anthony J. Bannon is the new Ice and Events Center Maintenance Technician.

I was born and raised in Cheyenne, WY. I have worked in recreation for my entire working life since the age of 14, in all capacities from entry level jobs to President and Owner of a local skating facility. I grew up with skates on my feet. I started competing in Speed Skating and Roller Hockey at the age of 5 years old.

My true passion is speed skating. I competed until the age of 20 and then hung my skates up for a whistle and stop watch and began coaching speed skating. I have coached at every level from beginners to World Champions, and future Olympians. I have had the honor and privilege of coaching at the U.S. Olympic Training Center over a dozen times. My goal is to one day be able to coach in the Olympic Games for Team USA. Outside of skating I spend most of my time with my beautiful 9 year old daughter.  If I am not doing things with her you can find me on the golf course, I try to golf at least 3-4 times a week when the weather permits it! I thoroughly enjoy helping people reach their goals and share my knowledge and experiences with them. I love seeing the people I have helped reach their goals and succeed in life!
